What can I expect on my first chiropractic visit?

For an initial assessment, the chiropractor conducts a thorough history and physical exam to pin point your areas of concern as well as discuss goals of treatment. The first part of the visit is the history where we sit and talk about your current health status and main concerns as well as your previous health history. A physical exam will be completed next based on your areas of concern as well as rule out any reasons as to why a treatment should be completed. Informed consent will be discussed before a treatment is administered so that you are comfortable with the prescribed treatment plan as well as any home care or stretching or advice the chiropractor thinks is important.

How often should I get an adjustment/ treatment?

The amount of treatments depends on the individual themselves.

I am terrified of having my neck cracked. Do I need to have this done during my visit?

We understand your nervousness and hesitation, but we assure all new and existing patients that if they don’t feel comfortable with a specific adjustment, we will never force it. It is completely normal to feel nervous about a “big crack”, but it is absolutely not necessary for each patient and each visit. Our chiropractor will walk you through each treatment and adjustment so that you can feel relaxed and comfortable in our clinic.

What is Naturopathy? What are the benefits of Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic medicine is a system that uses natural remedies to help the body heal itself and discover the root cause of an illness. It embraces many therapies, including herbs, cupping therapy, acupuncture, exercise, hydrotherapy and nutritional counseling to name a few.

Along with these modalities, our Naturopathic doctor also offers detailed diet analysis, customized meal plans and supplement list assessment. They may also use touch, such as massage and pressure, to create balance in your body. This is called naturopathic manipulative therapy.

I am a few months pregnant, is Chiropractic Care and Naturopathy for me?

Absolutely! We strongly believe that a comfortable and successful pregnancy and delivery is made easier with regular chiropractic and naturopathic visits. Chiropractic services can help alleviate hip, lower back, and leg pain associated with pregnancy as well as help loosen up the body while Naturopathy provides nutritional guidance, exercise regimes, and medicine.

How often is it recommended to get treated by a Chiropractor?

The amount of treatments depends on the individual themselves. Your therapist will discuss your potential treatment schedule with you so that you can achieve your goals as quickly as possible.

Can I book chiropractic care online?

We only have online booking available for naturopathy as chiropractic visits need to be scheduled via phone to accommodate the right timing for each individual patient based on their needs.

What kind of adjustments will the chiropractor do? What table do they use?

Dr. Rachel is an evidence based diversified chiropractor that also utilizes a multitude of techniques to help each individual have a treatment based on what is best for them. She utilizes a drop table which involves the table absorbing impact to make the adjustment more gentle and comfortable, especially for patients who are either in significant pain or those who should not be adjusted manually. Because of the amount of injuries and practitioners that Dr. Rachel and Danielle have been exposed to, our treatment here is personalized to each individual and nothing is cookie cutter.
